Universally Mine
How can you lose something you never had,
Yet it's been yours all along?
How can anything that is so right
Ever be so wrong?
How can anyone ever win,
If no one must ever lose?
Nothing has ever been a sin,
Except for the reason we choose.
How can you be so close to me,
When you're miles and miles away?
How can the one thing that keeps me alive
Be killing me day by day?
How were you so far from me,
When you were here beside me, too?
My love now covers the universe,
Still I grow closer to you.
