This Is Me
Seeing the coming holocaust,
My eyes, too slow to count the cost,
Just make me feel that I am lost
As if aside I'm being tossed.
But I raise my head above the cloud.
Behold, my eyes can see!
Yes, I raise my head above the crowd,
And I shout to them, "This is me!"
So, when their heads have been embossed,
And, with machines, are being crossed,
Until their minds, encased in frost,
Then they no longer can accost.
But, I raise my head above the proud.
I am free; I am free; I am free!
And, I raise my head above the shroud.
Let them be; let them be; let them be!
