After the Bluebird Flew
I fell to my knees
At the edge of the sea.
I swayed with the tide,
Then I knew I had died.
I looked to see me,
But what did I see
In the water so blue?
An impression of you.
The suns and the moons,
Over mountains and dunes,
And the rivers so wide,
Through the bottoms, they hide.
A tree full of air,
In a moment so rare,
Was all in your eyes,
Just as deep as the skies.
I reached for your face,
And I then found my place.
I took hold of your hand
And was able to stand.
