Giving Life
I lifted you from your mother's womb
And lost you in that very room.
Now my body feels like an empty tomb,
And I wish I were still that happy groom.
Now my life sweeps away like dust in a broom,
But I've spun good thread to fill your loom.
Sweet baby, I give you my life.
