Rising Star

If all the hearts were stars around the Earth,
You would be the sun that lights my way.
If every love were just a beam of light,
You would be the brightness of my day.
If all the stars were only thoughts of love,
Darling, you would be my Milky Way.

You are with me night and day.
I hope this means that you will stay.
And if, perhaps, the star should fall,
Its light, I always will recall.
And if the sun goes down,
I'll be waiting here when it comes around.
