The Key
There are so many times I've reached out to find
What I have followed has left me behind.
A song I was singing was all out of time.
The poem I was writing, I just couldn't rhyme.
And just as I thought I could not find the key,
And the secret of life was a loss,
I looked up and found that every locked door
Could be opened by the Cross.
For Jesus Christ is the light and the way
And now I have all that I need.
Though my pockets are empty and my cupboard is bare,
My garden is sewn with good seed.
For, if you seek, you also shall find,
And if you find, you shall seek.
The more of God's word that reaches your ears,
The more you shall want him to speak.
