Fantisophicus
The chained, green creature, Fantisophicus,
Of which we think and speak and fuss,
Approached unconquered Morpheus
To keep his power from freeing us.
Morpheus, who frees our mind,
Seen by even totally blind,
For whom we seek and never find,
Is one we catch but never bind.
While Fantisophicus was born
In the leash he's always worn
To lead us where we are forlorn
And prove the falsehoods we have sworn.
Paper planes won't take you far.
You never move inside your car,
But if you stay just where you are,
You can travel past the furthest star.
