Winter Crying
Your tears, they fell like leaves all around me.
I never looked to see what they were made of.
A chill set in and slowly began to surround me.
I never knew I was in the Autumn of your love.
The fog, it filled my mind and blocked my sight.
The clouds, they kept me from the light above.
Springtime had gone and so the summer's night.
I never knew I was in the autumn of your love.
And though it's cold and lonely on this winter's day,
I wonder, will the spring return again?
And will it be the same love or has that just blown away?
The seasons change, and so each year must end.
In the summer night, I left my doors all open wide.
I wanted to see the moon and stars above.
But when I woke, the morning had turned so cold outside.
Then I knew I was in the autumn of your love.
